چکیده

We derive the equations of state Fermi gas by maximizing Fermi-Dirac entropy in modified gravity relativistic and non-relativistic case. It will be demonstrated that microphysics must depend on a given theory order to consistently describe physical system at statistical equilibrium state.

Generalized Chaplygin Gas in a modified gravity approach

We study the generalized Chaplygin gas (GCG) scenario in a modified gravity approach. That is, we impose that our universe has a pure dust configuration, and allow for a modification of gravity that yields a GCG specific scale factor evolution. Moreover, assuming that this new hypothetical gravity theory obeys a generalization of Birkhoff’s law, we determine the Schwarzschild-like metric in thi...

Fermi surfaces and gauge-gravity duality

We give a unified overview of the zero temperature phases of compressible quantum matter: i.e. phases in which the expectation value of a globally conserved U(1) density, Q, varies smoothly as a function of parameters. Provided the global U(1) and translational symmetries are unbroken, such phases are expected to have Fermi surfaces, and the Luttinger theorem relates the volumes enclosed by the...

Gradient catastrophe and Fermi-edge resonances in Fermi gas.

Any smooth spatial disturbance of a degenerate Fermi gas inevitably becomes sharp. This phenomenon, called the gradient catastrophe, causes the breakdown of a Fermi sea to multiconnected components characterized by multiple Fermi points. We argue that the gradient catastrophe can be probed through a Fermi-edge singularity measurement. In the regime of the gradient catastrophe the Fermi-edge sin...

The self-gravitating Fermi gas

We discuss the nature of phase transitions in the self-gravitating Fermi gas at non-zero temperature. This study can be relevant for massive neutrinos in Dark Matter models and for collisionless self-gravitating systems experiencing a “violent relaxation”. Below a critical energy (in the microcanonical ensemble) or below a critical temperature (in the canonical ensemble), the system undergoes a...
